when did you notice your teeth were moving?

#1 Post by ninath1 »

This thread has been done before but I can't find it! I've read that some peeps start to see changes within the first month and others (like myself) see nothing at all. I'm curious to know what experiences others have, and how much do you think age effects the speed of movement????

Hi ninath1!

My teeth moved really quick in the beginning. I saw movement within the first week! Now I am in the tweaking stage and it feels like they are moving so slow.

Hope this helps!

hello

I saw movement in the first week as well but let me tell you it was not the movement I was hoping for! There were spaces created that were never there before! and like my ortho said - it will get worse before it gets better and sure enough it did :)

Back when I took pictures of my teeth each week, I could discern noticeable changes each week. When I stopped documenting, it was harder to see progress. I remember noticing changes within that first week if not by the second week.

Yeh, mine moved really quickly in the first couple of weeks - the front ones anyway. They haven't changed much in the last few weeks, but the bottom ones are moving, just very slowly.

I am going for another adjustment in about an hour and a half, so I am hoping I get a new wire as I've had this one for two adjustments now.

In the beginning, I seen changes within about a month...and everytime i would get them tightened, I would see different changes...now it just seems like everything is staying the same...im prettu sure they are moving but i cant notice a difference....today makes 1 yr since i've been braces, and im SUPPOSE to have 13 more months...hopefully they can come off earlier lol

Yessssss!!! I am at the 6 week mark and have had very noticeable changes to the upper front teeth very recently (in the last two weeks). The overlapping prominent incisor has pulled in and away from it's brother and there is a slight gap between them when previously they were crossing! Progress at last!

I have already seen a little bit of change. I even had someone comment on how they have noticed a change. Still have a long way to go.
