Gum levels
I'm in my late 40's and have had gum disease in the past. I've got a crown on one of my front teeth and the gum level is a lot lower on that tooth than my other surrounding teeth where the gums have receeded. Does anyone know if my ortho will do anything about the gum level? I can't remember if he's mentioned anything so will ask him next time I go but would appreciate knowing about the experience of others in the meantime.
If the tooth was chipped and had supererupted then you intrude the tooth with the lower gum level (tooth and gum follow along together) and then you recrown the tooth so it is longer.
This leaves you a very symmetrical result side to side and top to bottom.
