This has not been such an easy process for me and many days I have been a bit crabby because my teeth were sore or aching but I am extremely pleased with all the progress my teeth have made. I went in for my 7 week checkup last week and even the orthodontist was surprised with the all the movement my teeth have made in such a short time. I am very appreciative of the time and care my orthodontist has given me and that I have the means to afford to do this. My self esteem and confidence has skyrocketed. I am so happy I could cry.
Extremely pleased with progress

Forgot to add no more powerchains in my upper arch. The orthodontist said there is not a need for them anymore so they didn't get replaced last week. The gap and the flaring is gone. Still surprised the flaring is gone. I thought for sure that was really going to hurt to have those teeth pushed back. Amazingly those front teeth never really bothered me unlike my molars which ache a lot. Still have the bottom powerchains but as you can see the spaces are closing nicely.
Next month I finally get a thicker wire. Ouch. At some point elastics are in my future. Now I am all nervous that my teeth will want to move back after the braces are off for good. I was told 24 months. Praying it will be less time. I miss popcorn a lot but afraid to try to eat that because I don't want anything to get trapped under my two molar bands.

Your teeth will want to move back after your braces came off, but if you will wear your retainer as instructed by your ortho then you should not worry about relapse.
You can go ahead and eat some popcorn, just chew slowly. And don't worry about stuff getting stuck under your bands, underneath the bands is a lot of glue, there are no empty places for stuff to get stuck. Usually food gets stuck under your gums. By the time I finished my treatment I think I ate everything I wasn't supposed to.
You are lucky, your teeth are moving fast, mine moved really fast too.
Excellent progress!!!!!!!!!

I've never had any food get stuck under my molar bands. I think my main concern is something hard will pop off a bracket but it hasn't yet.
I too worry about relapse. I recently had my wire changed out, and when that happens, my teeth don't feel like they're just resting, they feel like they are flaring out again. It's really an odd feeling and I almost don't want to be my braces off b/c of that. How weird is that.
