Had my lowers put on today

#1 Post by Emmauk »

Hi all

I had my lower clarity's put on last night and my first adjustment on my uppers. Didnt really enjoy the experience but its all done so quickly.

I am left with sore teeth but overall not too bad. I had a tooth extracted ( lower one next to front teeth) a while ago and where he has put the brace on he has braced through the extraction so i have a bracketed tooth then the extraction to the next bracketed tooth with the wire just going straight across. I dont know what i was expecting but it looks like its going to be very easy to break.

Have to wait and see.

I forgot to ask orth while i was there but the tips of my teeth keep going white - generally overnight. Its not the white dots its the tip of the tooth. Does anyone know what that is?

Thanks all

Hi Emmauk - Congrats on your braces!!

I don't know about the white dots. Perhaps you can call your ortho and ask. My teeth still feel sore too and I'm still eating soft foods.

Congrats on your braces! I hope you a happy and long 2-5 year journey! Don't feel so bad, I'm with Western Dental adn feel I may have cavities with my new 4 week braces when they claim there weren't any left... *sigh* they found they said the worst and longest one they've worked on ever (1 hour on 1 tooth) for a filling.. after telling me I was done with all my dental work, then they found 3 more. smart place.
