Hi everyone,
I have been lurking this board for some time now and I've finally been braced as of 2 days ago. Yesterday night one of my clear brackets came unhinged so I went in this morning to get it re-glued. However, they said that one tooth did not have enough surface space so they replaced it with a smaller bracket. I noticed when I got home that the bracket was not connected to the wire! Is this a cause for concern? How will the tooth move forward if its not connected to the bracket? I'm quite worried right now. :S

p.s my brackets are also placed really high on my teeth, close to the gums. Is this normal?

Yes, totally normal depending on your ortho's plans.bubbletoes wrote:p.s my brackets are also placed really high on my teeth, close to the gums. Is this normal?

I would call the ortho to be sure... if the bracket is not connected to the wire, it's not working (but can be moved by the other ones, and that can be good or bad)
