I just had my first one tonight... :yikes:

I lost one of the braces, and when I was touching the new 'space' with my tongue, the upper wire was broken and four upper front braces fell out... I ran to the ortho, but they were just closing so I was told to come next day... and when I arrived to my home and saw my mouth at the mirror, all upper teeth were moving to horrible places because the braces were pushing them so wrong :yikes:

Was nice to wake up and touch with the tongue all the braces perfectly glued... :?

Right after i got my braces i dreamed that they fell off, still on the wire. But my ortho, which in the dream didnt' look anything like my ortho, refused to admit he was my ortho. It was an entire dream of me telling him he was my ortho and that it was his fault my braces and in the end my teeth had fallen off. This was one of the crazier braces dreams i've had. I had quite a few before the braces. But after about a month with the braces i didn't have anymore.
Hopefully i'm not jinxing myself.

haha yeah, that sounds like a pretty crazy dream! i guess braces cause a lot of anxiety for most patients and the nightmares are a funny by-product. (when you are remembering them anyway).

I once had a dream that my braces AND all my teeth fell out when I was in my car. They fell down to the bottom of the car and I was trying to drive and grope around the floor of the car to find them and put them back in my mouth.

How's THAT for an anxiety dream?! :GapToothed:
