Dental Hygienist here wanting to ask some questions...

#1 Post by RDH »

Hey guys, i'm a registed dental hygienist in canada and I was wondering if other hygienists/dentists browse these forums?

I have a question regarding braces. I recently started putting braces on my patients and I seem to be having some problems with arch wires.

First off, what is the different between the bioforce 19x25 and the resolve 19x25?
I believe resolve is supposed to be fix torque? But its the same dimensions as the bioforce, can the 19x25 be used just as well to fix that?

Also, I seem to have a lot of problems with placing the resolve wires into the bands, I do use the 'bird beak' instrument but I still sweat through it! Are there any tips/advice that you guys can give? It is really irriatating!

Thanks

P.S. If you guys have another general questions about braces, I'll be more than happy to answer them (I've had braces as well)

Peace.

No offense intended but shouldn't you be asking the orthodontist you work for these questions? Why would you be putting braces on patients if you don't have a working knowledge of the procedure?

This is a message board primarily for patients. There are some orthodontists who post here, but it is to answer patient questions. I suggest that you post your question to a message board for dentists and orthodontists, not for patients.
