Loose Lig?!

#1 Post by LittleTurtle »

I think that I have a loose lig on the tooth behind my canine tooth. I noticed it last night during clean up after dinner. The only thing is, I don't know if it just happened or if it has been that way since I got braces a week ago! I just changed part of my clean up routine and have a mirror that is closer to me so that I can see better, so it may have been like that the whole time. But the question is, should I leave well enough alone? Should I try to fix it? Or should I just call my Ortho and bug him?

It's just the one corner of the lig and it seems to be on there pretty tight, but I don't want to have it just pop off. And I am going to be going on vacation, a long ways away from home, before my next appointment. And the last thing that I would want to have happen is my wire popping off while I am away from home!

I just don't know how much difference one lig will make on things. Help! What should I do?!

The one lig will make a big difference to the movement of the tooth that it is supposed to be working on. Best give your orthodontist a call. It is usually a quick fix and they should be able to accommodate you for an appointment.
