Please help... I hate my teeth

#1 Post by Sadgirl21 »

My upper teeth slant outward to meet my bottom teeth. I had braces twice and finally got them off about 6 years ago. I wear my retainer religiously but am still unhappy with my teeth. what should I do?

Hi, I can empathise, I hate my teeth too :-(
though, I'm still waiting to he braced for the first time.
Unfortunatly, there isn't really many options for you as far as I can see.
1) you look into getting braces for a third time, though if you've had them twice already it seems likely that this could be a problem that isn't fixable with braces?
2) look into the possibility of getting veneers - but again, this may not be an option for you
3) learn to live with it, which I know is really not easy when you don't like your teeth

your best bet is to consult with a dentist and find out your available options. Good luck.

That is tough, and I can relate. Were you happy with them when you got your braces off? And if not, did you say anything at the time and ask if things could be different?

You should have a consultation with 2 or 3 orthodontists to get some opinions on whether anything can be done to change your teeth to the way you desire. Consultations are usually free.
I'm the owner/admin of this site. Had ceramic uppers, metal lowers ~3 years in my early 40's. Now in Hawley retainers at night!
