Good God, I can't tell you how terrified I am of TADs. The assistant told me right off the bat that I won't be needing them or the headgear and I was SO relieved. Especially after I saw a youtube video of how the TADs are screwed in. Take my advice and DO NOT go looking for this video... HORRIBLE!

AARRRGGH! You're a whole 365 days closer to straighter teeth than I am!! So lucky...

beleive me there is no way on this universe i would wear head gear NO FREAKIN WAY

i think wearing that id feel compelled to run on some type of sports field ready to catch a ball.
im back for an adjustment on the 20th july for tads and the rest of my molar bands.

when my ortho finished telling me i said "oh doc yes ive seen that ive become another expert patient with the help of you tube" he couldnt spot laughing.

i tell you some docs must lotheeeee you tube! i think it ruins all the surprise elements now from their treatment bombshells.

what are you having at your next appt, sorry bout the spelling im doing this from my phone.

Poor huggypillow :(

And no I was told I wouldn't be needing tads (thank you god!!)
That's hilarious about you being an expert patient hahaha

My next appt was today actually. I went in and they cemented all four bands and re-glued two brackets. My teeth are just too stubborn to move so the brackets popped off. Going in for my extractions on Friday and then back to the orthodontist on the 26th.

Let me know how the TADs work out! I'm still so terrified of them

Hey Countess

yes i know not long till the tad's going in...... about 2 weeks im not so worried but more anxious and nervous.

i have seen every video you tube has to offer..... many times just to be sure im seeing what im seeing... for real.

my husband has been great and of course in my own subtle way i constantly remind him, and i thought i may as well milk this sympathy thing for as long as i can. he says all the time that he's so glad he never had to wear braces ( he was one of those kids born with almost perfect teeth.. hes only got one filling)

so i figured that seeing as he bought himself a harley and i got braces theres still a little price difference ABOUT $14,000.
ill take it in the way of jobs.

see he brings me a cuppa and toast in the morning before he leaves for work because ive told him how a cuppa first up in the morning soothes my aching mouth, i have even trained him to cut the crust off my toast.

i mean i figured seeing as all i have heard for the last entire year is Harley this and Harley that, i ordered this and that and not to mention having to sit and watch every American Chopper ever made by discovery.

Dont worry everyone i will be stepping up the sympathy when i get the tad's put in i wont let down all the ladies on the board.

i think he may know it's slightly put on sometimes but i cant relent now i need to be consistant.

my mother thinks it's hilllllllarious, my hubby is a good sport.
