my ortho took off my powerchain....

my ortho took off my powerchain today, but I am already seeing the spaces between my teeth. Should I call and tell her? Is it typical for orthos to take off your powerchain near the end of your treatment, even though gaps will appear again?

I had a powerchain for 5 weeks and felt gaps close. I could tell because flossing felt different. He took it off last monday and I can again feel a difference as some gaps opened up again. I figure he knows what he's doing. Maybe it's to help our teeth find their final comfortable position? Like when you settle into a chair you scootch your bum back and forth to get comfy. Maybe this is the same kind of thing but with teeth?

Duno, what I do know is that they usually know what they are doing and have reasons for their actions. Trust him you will be ok, easier to say than to do, I am in the retention stage and still wonder about cause and effect.
