Hurrah im finally free! just a week short of 12 months since i got them on. must admit having them removed was quite horrible, each bracket he pulled off felt like my whole tooth had come off with it!! my gums are so sore and still a bit red and bloody (he used a tool to remove the glue off my teeth and i think my gums got nicked a few times). im very happy with the result, am so glad i did this. here are some before and after pics. The before pics arent very good as i didnt take any proper ones, so ive just zoomed in on some teethy snapshots. the braces ones are about 3 weeks into treatment, youll see my teeth look gappy as i had IPR done to make room for the two sticky out ones to move back into place.
Hi, no I didn't have any bonding or re-shaping done. I asked my ortho early on in treatment if my front teeth were longer that the others would he file them down, he said yes but that he didn't think it'd be necessary and he was right as they all ended up the same length anyway. My gum line also was massively improved as before treatment my front teeth were lower than all my other teeth. Thanks everyone for your comments and replies! X
