RIGHT?!
I'm just over a month in braces and the pain had been gone for the most part for about a week or so. Until last night when one tooth (just one - bottom "canine", next to the extraction) started hurting again. Hurting worse than it did even in the beginning.
This is normal, right?
ETA: Ok, apparently, I not even a month in braces. Apparently I just really want this over!

Re: This is normal, right?
yeah i would venture to say that is a fairly normal thing in braces. I too will randomly have just one tooth that just aches soo bad but the others will be just fine. i even had dentist check it to see if maybe i had a cavity and he said its just the braces and thats normal. now say the intensity of pain lasts a full week.. i would then maybe have ortho or dentist just take a look at it. but anticipate that to probably happen on occation. aren't braces wonderful? lol Good luck! no worries!

Yes, totally normal. Some of my teeth used to get very painful and lose and I could shake them with my fingers. But now it is gone and everything is normal again.
Had full mouth metal braces for 21 months. Debonded April 2013. Now wearing clear plastic retainers every other night.

I hope/think it's normal as i've had the same because the teeth next to my extractions have been the most painful/sensitive especially on the bottom. I think it's as they move into the gaps.

Whew. Then I won't worry about it. Except for the fact that I'm going for a cleaning today and I don't like pain.
