another adjustment

#1 Post by musiclady2340 »

Wow, it's been almost two years. Have an adjustment tomorrow. Hoping to get my tpa bar removed. It has shifted enough that I will need to get some brackets taken off in order to remove it. Yuck. Getting ready for sore mouth and may even resort to pain pills. Fun, fun, fun. I'll be glad when this is complete. :jump:

Are you almost finished after two years? Are you pleased with the results? Two years seems so long - I was told two years and it's only been 2 months so I'm wondering if it will go by fast and get easier.

TPA bar is a transpalatial something or other. It is a wire that goes across the roof of the mouth. It is a pain to eat with it. Food is always getting stuck. And I did get it out. Yippee!! may get it put back in at a later date.

Projected brace time is 2 and 1/2 years. But all is approximate. I have to say you really do get used to having braces. Hardly notice them on most days. Just sore and in pain the day of and the day after an adjustment.

It will be great to see the end. Thanks. :jump: :jump: :jump:
