Good for you!

I had them put on at 43. I am now 44. I seem to be a late bloomer in life. I went back to college at 34, started a new career at 38, went back to school again and finished a master's degree at 42, and then got braces at 43. I plan to take snowboarding lessons this winter- I have never skied or snowboarded in my life, but better late than never, right?!

i was 13 years old. i get removeable braces. i get them out with 18 years.

I'm 38 years old and have had braces for three weeks. Even though I had little idea how intense the treatment was going to be, I've been wanting this my entire life. Whenever I saw a photo of myself, I immediately looked to see how bad my smile appeared. As kids, our parents couldn't pay for braces, so many of us waited until we could finally afford to do it on our own. So, with three weeks down and a hundred more ahead, here goes nothing!

I am 48 years old and have my appointment on February 29th. This is something I should have had done over 5 years ago, but I just paid off my car, so now I can make payments on my ortho! Yay!

I am 32 and just got my braces in 2 days ago. Yesterday was a rough day and I was starting to regret my decision but today is better and there is less pain so I am ok with it. But I just keep reminding myself that someday I am going to have a beautiful smile finally and it will all be worth it.

I am 57
Sectional brace with Damon clear brackets fitted to front 6 upper teeth 3 January 2012
Brackets added to premolars 2 April 2012
Estimated treatment time originally 6-9 months. Brace removed on 22 July 2013 after 18 months and 19 days
Now enjoying bonded upper retainer plus part time essix/hawley( I have both)

36. Parents (and I) couldn't afford them earlier. I subscript to the better late than never philosophy. Trying to get my younger sister to get it too...

I got them at 32 after having them from age 11 -16. I was just debanded at age 34.

i am turning 23 in a few weeks time, and getting my braces on around the time of my birthday - kinda scared but excited as well!

Decided at 40 that it was time to take the leap. Teeth kept getting worse.

I get mine March 1st! I got the appointment reminder AND the message from my dental insurance the 1st payment was made to the orthodontist.

I was 27 when I got them the first time. I wore them for a year and a half, couldn't stand them anymore and told them to take them off. When they took them off, my teeth still had a little bitty gap that I could only notice. It bothered me do bad that I got them again at 32 years old. Now I have to wear them for 5 months in all. Not to bad!

I’m 33 years old and have had my braces for 4 weeks. I already see progress so I can bear the discomfort in the meantime.
