one year and one month into braces

#1 Post by lgee24 »

Hey all I am just over a year into braces and have uploaded pictures of my progress. THe bottom picture is the very first day I got my braces, the top picture is today. I am in elastics now and have been for about a month. I still need two implants on top but have some movement to do before I can get those. I know I still have a lot of work today, my teeth were horrible before but I wanted some insight from others as to what everyone thought about the progress thus far? :D

That is some pretty awesome progress so far! You must be pretty pleased. :-)

Do you have to get your braces off before you get the implants or do they go in while the bracse are still on? (That is probably a stupid question but I am still pretty new to the whole braces thing so I don't know much).

I have had my braces on for a year. It wouldn't let me see your pics cause I'm a new member.

Ive had to wait this long so just over a year just to go to a consultation and I have to go back in about 6 months to my oral surgeon to check on the spacing because the gaps where the implants are going have to be the correct spacing and such. I will be getting temporary implants to fill the space soon and they will be in until I get the implants when the braces come off.

I am very pleased with the progress so far!

great progress so far. your smile is going to be awesome :D

i have a question, how long did it take the gap between your 2 front teeth to close? the reason i am asking is because i have a similar sized gap and was just wondering how long i will have to wait.
