Black dot on my bracket

So I got my braces on yesterday, and today after I ate my dinner, I noticed a black dot one of my brackets. I tried rinsing my mouth out with water and even brushing my teeth. It still hasn't come off and I'm not sure what it is. Has this ever happened to anyone? If so, did you call your orthodontist or did it go away on it's own?

It should wear off pretty quickly. It helps the orthodontist adjust the placement of the bracket on your teeth.

I had two brackets with yellow spots (my top molar brackets) and one bottom molar bracket with a white spot. I could have sworn that they weren't there when I got my braces on (a week ago), but I clearly wasn't paying close enough attention because yesterday while getting a couple of spacers placed I asked about the spots. The tech said they were to mark certain brackets so they were placed on the correct tooth, and then she used a scaling tool to scrape off the marks. She did say that the color would normally wear off with brushing too. (all were on my metal brackets, not my clear ones). Not sure if this helps or not with your situation...
