I paid £750 for each aligner. I don't have to pay for my appointments in relation to the aligners. I don't know yet if I'll be charged any extra for my retainers. I buy cheap home whitening kits for about £5 off of the internet.
That is proper mental cheap. Seems too cheap!! Where abouts are you?

Hi Dan,
I am in Australia & paid $3000 for my top teeth, this includes whitening & the bonded retainer. It is a lot of money but I think it's the best money I have ever spent.
I was quoted around the same amount for the traditional braces at a different dentist but was looking at 6-12 months or longer so I believe the IA is well worth it.
I hope this helps.
Let us know what you decide :)

I'm paying £1850 for the Inman aligner and appointments, £200 for retainer, and £425 for home whitening. Any tooth reshaping etc. is extra, as were x-rays. I'm in London. I think this is a lot, especially compared to others, but I am in London, and I'd rather (personally) go somewhere I trust than get a Groupon voucher or something. It's a lot of money to spend, so I want to make sure I do it right!

Mine wasn't a groupon deal. I'm under going treatment with my regular dentist :) No discounts or anything, just a great price and customer service.

Hi everyone!
I have read all 102 pages of this thread and have decided to join the forum.
There is so much information here- more than my dentist could ever tell me.
I had my IM fitted one week ago and so far it has all been fine. To be honest I was surprised how painful it was the first 36hrs to remove and put on the aligner and even more surprised to see how the pain quickly subsided. I am beginning to think nothing is happening!
My IA is fitted with an expander so talking is still pretty much out of the question- I find myself getting very frustrated at not being able to express myself properly, I find people looking at me thinking "poor thing"! My dentist told me to turn the key to the expander once a week, because I am feeling no more discomfort I have turned the key after 5 days instead and intend to do so for the course of the treatment. Is this detrimental?
My treatment time is an estimated 12 weeks, I am assuming that this does not include the period I may have to wear a clear aligner for small tweaks at the end.
Fingers crossed it all goes to plan as I am getting married in September!
Looking forward to sharing the IA experience- good luck everyone!

Forgot to mention that I am only having the aligner on the upper jaw.
I clean my IA by brushing twice a day with toothpaste in addition to soaking it in denture cleaner (usually whilst I am having lunch) then also soaking in Milton sterilising solution every other day. The thought of having a less than hygienic retainer really disturbs me!

Hi Badbear - I'm also getting married in September and looks like we started treatment around the same time! I don't have an expander so can't help u out with that question, but from what I've read on here I think it's normal to not feel discomfort, it doesn't mean it isn't still working.

I had a bad cold at the weekend, wearing the aligner with a sore throat as well is tough!!

Hi Elizateeth,
Glad to know someone is in the same position as me! How long is your estimated treatment time?
Can't imagine what it's like having a cold with the IA- must be difficult. I can't even sneeze like I normally do with it in!
How are you finding yours? Have you noticed any change yet?

I think my treatment time is expected to be around 12 weeks but as I am not wearing it at work I'm only managing 16 hours a day (more at weekends) so my dentist didn't really commit to a timeframe. If its progressing too slowly I will consider wearing it at work too!

I noticed movement after the first few days, I was hoping the dentist would be impressed when I went for my checkup after 10 days but I don't think she really noticed much difference! She did do some more filing between the teeth though so the gaps must have closed a bit!

Hi everyone!
I have also read a lot of the information posted here on the pages of this thread and have decided to join the forum.
I've had my IA for 8 weeks, and 2 days now and think this little thing is fantastic. It's magic!

I use the IA for the upper teeth, and got an estimated treatment time of 12 weeks. I have my IA in for around 21hrs/day - also at work. I don't care what other people think, in the end I'm going to be the happy guy... :-)
Had my last dentist appoint previous week (every 2nd week lately), and my dentist is always amazed by the progress each time. If I'm lucky the treatment is over next week.
I have not had any pains, but there has been periods when I feel more "pressure" when the teeth are on the move. For me that has just encouraged me, I then know that the IA is doing its job.
I'm really glad that I went for the IA, and I do encourage people to use it at work as well to shorten the treatment time.

I'm very jealous of everybody knowing rough time estimates. It's been 1 month and a week since I got the aligners in and I've still not been told when they're estimated to come out.

On the plus side... just incase anybody is doubting the fast moving power of the aligners:

^ That's my new upper arch right there! Almost done.

NickelNikki - it's amazing to see your progress! They have really aligned nicely and fast. Check with your dentist next time, at least a rough estimate should be possible...

awesome results NickelNikki :D
I wouldn't worry too much about an ETA, My dentist wants to do the impression for my retainer this coming Thursday but that's not going to happen as there has not been any movement since my last visit nearly 2 weeks ago :(
I think he was anticipating that it would be finished due to the rapid aligning so far.
Your photos show your progress has been amazing!
The treatment time is around 6-16 weeks & by the look of your pics I don't think you will go over that time :)
Will update after my next visit on Thursday :)
