Just got braced!

Just got my braces on this morning...my mouth isn't super-sore yet but I can sense how it's going to be later, lol. Appointment went smoothly. I got metal on my uppers and lowers, and purple ligs, so at least they look kinda cute. Right now I'm just trying to relearn how to eat a tuna sandwich with all these brackets and wires in my mouth...ack!

Oooh! We are brace day buddies!

I just discovered how much of a chore eating is too. How funny.
The pressure is starting to build on my teeth, but that makes me kind of happy. The scrapety scrape bothers me more than the rest. I wonder how we'll feel tomorrow?

How long will you be in braces? Can't wait to hear your updates!

Yay brace day buddies!

The scraping is driving me crazy, too! I'm going to be making liberal use of the wax, that's for sure...

If all goes well, my treatment should only take 14 months...not so bad. I might have to have a couple of extractions down the road, though, so that might extend things a bit.

How about you? How long will you have them on?

Congrats to both of you on starting your journey today :jump: Most of us have been waiting a while to get this process started so you must be really excited. I only got my uppers on a month ago and I too have purple ligs *I loove them!* Best of luck to Both of you and I look forward to reading about your progress :D

No extractions for me though. I'm correcting gaps, overjet, and a deep bite. Looking forward to hearing about/seeing your progress!

Congrats on first day. The purple looks great :-) I'm getting mine next week ceramic uppers-don't feel brave enough for colour like that :-(

Wishing you both speedy teeth movement.

I had an app yesterday to get my #6 bands placed on my uppers and I changed my ligs from metalic blue to purple :D

So does that make us lig buddies? :D
