I only had maybe 3 glasses of red since the braces came on. I stick to white now.

Well. I guess it isnt the alcohol because the brackets and band are still irritating my mouth.
3 days later still bothering me. They said my mouth has to "toughen up".

My Ortho says this is normal and i should use the wax. I find the wax to be more of a pain.
I found a product i used when i had gum grafts done called Kanka soft gel brush. The stuff actually numbs what you apply it to. Better than wax anyway.

I'm 4 months into my braces and haven't changed my eating/drinking habits one bit... I eat nuts, drink soda (although sugar free), chew gum, whatever... no problems so far, and every time I get my archwire changed they give me a 10/10 for teeth hygiene...

I got my lingual braces 2 weeks ago and I'm still drinking alcohol,
Not much of a fizzy drinker but I guess it's okay as long as you're
Brushing well and using mouthwash to take off the bacteria.
