What I see is a thick but short wire, it looks like it's holding the archwire in the bracket, one end is bent over so it won't touch my cheek, but the other is sticking right out. I don't think the tech even attempted to bend it. Both sides are like this, and both have a sharp edge. I could have punctured my finger on them when I was poking around back there.
This can't be good ortho tech practice, can it? The previous tech put "donuts" (elastics I think) around the back bracket and I had no problems whatsoever with cutting cheeks.
Either way, I'm going back and insist they fix this (along with my hideous staining power chain).
