Tooth Exposure done Friday - oh what fun it was/is

#1 Post by spotmom1 »

Wow....that is all i can say about this whole procedure. It was painful almost immediately afterward -thank god for pain meds!
My stitches fell out yesterday ( a little earlier than they anticipated) but no bleeding so i guess it is ok.
The roof of my mouth looks like a channel was dug into a hillside ( with a gold chain - drawbridge :) - attached.
I talk with a lisp now from the swelling but it is getting better.

All in all I really hope this procedure takes for me. As my surgeon stated "your mouth is alot different than a 12 year olds" so fingers crossed that this takes and I didnt have to go through this for nothing just to get it pulled a fake tooth placed.

It's been just over a week since my surgery. The swelling is gone,i talk normally, and i hardly notice it. The pain lasted for about 4 days then it got dull and it officially stopped hurting completely just under the first week. Tough it out.
Best of luck on your surgery!
