Trust me, my teeth were close to perfect before I got braces put on. I only had braces to correct very very mild overjet and a small gap, perhaps thats the reason why I didn't see changes until 5 months later. Or maybe my orthodontist was just too gentle and conservative with the wire. But once I got power chain, whoa.

O NOES! I'm such an idiot assuming people are in the US. If you can't find flossers made for braces it's because they haven't propogated to your part of the world yet. I may have gotten your hopes up for naught. If so, my sincerest apologies.

Don't worry! Whoa you don't have to get so worried, i'm not an uptight asian! I wished i'm staying in US, all the good buys are there. Here in asia we have nothing but stupid stuffs made in China. :-(( But thank god for eBay, though most of the time i've to pay a lot extra for shipping to Asia

Nah don't be worried, at first I thought my braces treatment would probably take forever because I see ABSOLUTELY no changes for the first 5-6 months, but when I got powerchain on, wow. I saw changes literally in 2 hours.

Do you not love afternoons in the UK?
I love night time, the climate in my country is too warm for my liking. Gets like 32 degrees celsius in the morning and afternoon.

Yeah, it's 34c here in Texas. We might have easy access to all the good buys but we pay for it by getting baked by the sun all the time and dried out by drought.

I'm not seeing any movement but I'm actually most worried about getting out of braces too soon. I mostly got them because I think they're fascinating and I'm only in for a year. It's just been a little more than a week but I'm already worried about having to get 'em off. I think I'll disappear to Sri Lanka or something when it gets near to my date...

My ortho would see right through that. She knows I'm enjoying them and thinks I'm nuts.

Aw i've never gotten away without stain with curry before. I LOVE curry and not being able to eat curry bothers me :-* i think i'll rather get ugly colored ligs than the clear ones even though the colored ligs look really BAD on me.
Boiling hot? How many degrees over there?

34c?! Omg :jump: its 32 degrees celcius here and i'm already dying of heat. But its very humid here though.
You find braces FASCINATING? How old are you?
I was 19 when I got braces, at first I really like it but now I really hate the look of braces :-(( I wanna get it off as soon as possible SO MUCH!!

I'm 37. I had braces once before already when I was 26-27. I always thought orthodontics was amazing since I saw my first retainer and palatal expander when I was about 7 or 8 years old. I tried to convince my mom I needed braces but she didn't buy it. Most people's ideal smile is a big white grin but mine is a shiny metal one. I totally can't explain why but that's just how I was built, I guess.

Start of day three with "metal mouth" and so far so good. Talking is embarrassing, as I got a RPE on top and a Schwartz on lower. I have seem movement of my my front four, kinda of cool. My teeth were kind of straight, over crowding and a very narrow arch.
Was not expecting to see any changes during the first few weeks. Glad I have. Everyone has been asking me why I have braces, they see my teeth as straight. I bite my tongue while talking, not enough space for tongue. My lower teeth are crowded worse then top, so they have to make room to rotate the teeth into better position.

Take pictures of your teeth every couple of days, you will notice the small changes.

Unfortunately so much isn't available to buy in the UK like in the US :(. I have been wanting to try so many funky orthodontic products only to find I can't buy them in shops here or from UK websites. You can always buy stuff from eBay from a US seller depending on the P+P, sometimes it's too expensive and not worth it.

Try using floss threaders with regular floss, makes flossing so much easier and they are available to buy in the UK
Braces: Metal fixed upper and lower
Estimated treatment time: 18-24 months
Braces Removed: August 2013 (after 33 months in braces)
Retainers: Upper & lower essix and lower bonded

What is "spam spam spam" masking ???
