How soon should I be able to see a difference?

It depends on you teeth. For me it went super fast, 7 fays inn and my very crooked teeth in the front was already in line and on the same level (they were very crooked). You often have to wait three four weeks before you notice big changes. So no worries! They will move

Its been a month since I got braces. I can see the difference. The teeth were set too tight and were also overlapping. Now I can see the improvement. Don't worry.. Be patient. You too will start noticing the changes soon.

Everyone's teeth move at different rates. My girl has had hers for 2 weeks now and she really hasn't seen much movement....on the other hand, In my first 2 weeks, I saw alot. What I did was I didn't really look at my teeth much and I would wait like 1 month or so and then look and you will be amazed at the difference.

Try looking at the arch wire....Sometimes the changes are so subtle but they are there.
My wire got straighter within the first few weeks but i was only able to SEE the change after the first 2 weeks...
You can even feel the change when ur flossing....Sometimes the floss goes in easier(teeth moving apart) sometimes its tighter (teeth moving together)

I have had mine for about four weeks and I can see a small change now.
Re: How soon should I be able to see a difference?
I saw some changes really quickly like in the first week on my top arch. I had my top braces on about a month before the bottom ones because I had to get some extractions done. One thing that amazed me is I was on vacation about two weeks ago and the day after I came back I woke up to a gap between my two front teeth that appeared overnight. I was shocked. So you may be like me and wake up one day and see a major change. You can click on my link to see the comparison of how close my teeth were and then BOOM overnight the gap appeared. Hopefully you will see some changes soon. Don't worry because they will come.

Mine have been on for a week now and I *think* I notice the lowers looking slightly less crowded...could just be wishful thinking though

Re: How soon should I be able to see a difference?
My question is is the arch wire working all the time during the 6 weeks before you see the ortho or just in the first
couple of days. I know the movements are small and the wire is heat activated. So when your mouth gets hot, they
start to work? When does it get hot, when you drink hot liquids? When you exercise? When you are sleeping?
I had one wire put on in June (top teeth for now) then another just a week ago. He went to a stronger wire.
The doctor says he can see changes. I can't. But maybe because I look at myself everday and can't see any change.
Thanks,
Bob

Ok, so I searched the data bases and the internet and I see the wire adjusts based on body temp.
