Well, if my dentist is right, 2.5 - 3 years. Waiting for my appointment with the orthodontist on the 18th.

Re: What is your number?
I was told about 18 months! I'm at 8 months now and he told me that I was almost there! So I guess I'm not going to make the 18 months! (Well, my braces, obviously ;))
Re: What is your number?
Haven't started yet, but told it will be 18 months.
Re: What is your number?
Well it was 6-9, but now I am heading towards 10....

Re: What is your number?
24 months-18 months to go! :)
Re: What is your number?
Originally 1,5-2 years but we take it so slow (because of my dental fear) that we are a little behind in the treatment.
We agreed to not go for the perfect result but a OK-result last time so I don’t know if I just have a few months left or if I will be in braces for 1,5-2 years and we try to do what we can in that time (I hope for the first one). In other words: I don’t know how long I have left
We are going so slow that my ortho’s favorite joke it that I will get them off when I’m 30 (I’m 23 years old)

Well, I certainly hope it won't take that long. I'm sure it won't. But it'll take as long as it takes, right?

Re: What is your number?
i was originally told 12-16 months. it depended on when i had my jaw surgery. i'm at 19 months (9 months post-surgery). it better not go beyond 20. going to the orthodontist just makes me depressed these days because i still haven't been told when it will be done. just "see you back in 3 weeks."
Re: What is your number?
I was told 24 months (at 12 months now). But he said I could be getting my uppers off in the next 6 months...woot!
Re: What is your number?
The current guesstimation is 48-54 more months...my mouth isn't being very cooperative. Expansion is going much slower than originally planned and the elastic portion of my treatment is going to take forever, as my roots are incredibly deep.
Sigh...
Sigh...
Re: What is your number?
48-54 more months??? Oh my I'm at 4 months now, so between 17-20 months to go!
Re: What is your number?
Well, Badbites, I must say that I think you're areal trooper for being able to agree to that length of time for treatment. I don't think I'd be able to handle that. 24 months is plenty of time for me. I just hope that we'll finish in 24 months, though. When I went back for my final pre-bracketing consultation, he said that it could take as long as 28 months.
