Pretty much everything jams up in my braces really good so I don't avoid too much except for really hard foods. Mostly I just carry brushpicks and deal with it.

I will say that I have to eat sushi with a knife and a fork and the results aren't pretty, and curry or Indian food totally wrecks my powerchains.

Rice is a disaster for me, too. So no more sushi for me until I get my braces off

I'm finding this too. If it goes in, unless it's liquid, it's going to get stuck. Especially in the molars (I think I have a small power chain between my molars on each side and it's so hard to get stuff out of).

I find that pad thai requires requires quite a bit of tidying up afterward, but I love it so much it's usually worth the effort as long as I can get to a toothbrush relatively quickly.

any salad greenery takes a mirror to remove and check but I really hate how noodles snake along and wrap themselves around wires and brackets

For me it's been sandwiches!! Not only are my front teeth too sensitive, it is SO messy in my hardware!! Lunches out to my favorite sandwich shop are now soup lunches. Ahh but the straight teeth will be worth it!!

I have found a lot of the same foods being tough but my water pik is a lifesaver! Not sure what I would do without it. I have the portable one and the counter one. I pretty much eat most things. I did break a bracket eating a cookie, so I've given those unlessmtheynare really soft.

Mango and mince have recently been added to my list. Love that mince requires minimal chewing but oh the drama of attempting to remove it all from between the brackets!!

Seeing this comment, Tobilei, makes me very glad that I don't like either of those things!

Good idea! Definitely eat a sandwich and enjoy the fact that the bread doesn't turn into glue on your brackets :P

And an ice block! Have one of those and pay attention to the fact that you can bite into it instead of having to just suck on it!

Bagels - too chewy, could easily break something and take forever to eat carefully. So I don't bother.

I find fruit like blueberries and cherries are a pain to get out of my teeth, The skin wraps around the wires like sticky take and literally need to be pulled out with a tooth pick. I love them but they drive me crazy!!

I have the same problem. Anything with skins like that gets caught around the wires.
