Congratulations on this step!
I had the same feeling when i looked in the mirror once the braces were fitted and really felt that the braces only made my problem worse! Now, just over a month braced, and I'm feeling much better about it and can see progress. Hopefully it only gets better (that's what I hear! :) )

I'm adjusting ok. There's pain, and annoyance, but nothing that can't be dealt with. I sure do hope the inside of my mouth toughens up pretty soon though! How is it going for you?
For me, eating is the biggest (and most annoying) challenge. I want to eat certain things that I think at the time I can accomplish only to find that I'm not comfortable biting into it yet. I want this phase to past, I LOVE food.

Other than that, I think I'm adapting pretty well.

Wow a lot in one day :D
I almost wish I could have been the same way, but then I think I am ok with the process so far good job though such a trooper.

I hope to post some pics of mine shortly. Nov 19 top braced but could not get into the oral surgeon till Dec 6 for my 4 extractions then 1 week later I thought I was getting a bottom set but what I ended up with was quite different. My ortho is pulling my canines back with a button and power chains into the gap to make room to unravel the bottom row. It made the little sharp pain I did have from the extractions go away now it's just pressure.

Good luck I look forward to following your story.

What great progress!! It's amazing how fast in the beginning they straighten up! I am about 10 weeks and am astonished at how much my top teeth have straightened!! How exciting for you.
You are brave. I don't think I could have done everything on the same day. I had one extraction and waited two weeks to get braces!

Ceramic braces on top and metal on the bottom to correct crowding and crossbite.

Thanks! It's been really cool to see all the movement :)

I think crazy, naive, or ignorant would better describe it... brave, not so much
