Bite turbos wearing down extremely fast...

#1 Post by Jsmile09 »

Hi I got braces only 6 days ago, on top and bottom but I have a deep bite of over 100% so they put bite turbos on my back molars. Not even a whole week later, they are already wearing down... My orthodontist said my teeth will move relatively quickly so I wouldn't have the turbos in for long but I'm not sure what his definition of "quickly" is. Will I have to get the bite turbos rebuilt up every week until my teeth are fixed?

If you're concern about how quickly it is getting worn down, call your ortho and ask. That is why you're paying the big bucks. It isn't just for the braces and adjustments but the emergency in between visits. Everyone is different and some ppl may not wear their turbos down as quickly so there is no "normal". Good luck and feel comfortable calling the office it is a long process so might as well get use to it without feeling like you're a bother. (BTW you're not and that is why you're paying them money!)
