palate expander digging into gums one tooth swollen

i had a palete expander now for 5 months and it been nothing but trouble i have to keep going back to get it adjusted and before i had to go back because palete expander was stuck in the gum and the gum was closing over it now i got one tooth swollen round one ofo the rings at the back and im scared the gum is going over the tooth also im scared that the palete expander is to close to the gum again i am going to the otherdontist wensday as thats the only time he is in i am doing hot salt water every 2 hours but it not really doing anything help !!!!! any tips

My expander went into my gum as well- you could feel it under there but I didn't find it as big a concern as you seem to be. It sounds as if it it's extremely deep? Mine felt like it went a few milimetres into the gum but nothing painful and I don't recall it causing swelling- just a bit of a bump under the gum. How has your experience been in general with your ortho?? Because I'm wondering if you should get the opinion of another one. It sounds like the molar rings mightn't have been fitted properly..

i can feeel the wire on top of gum i just think it extremely close again dont think it actually in gum and as for the molar ring thing it really hurts mum think it a infection/ abcess :( i just want the thing out and tbh thing the ring is to high :L i hope they give me antibotics to stop the swelling then hopefully they can take the thing off also hope they relief the pressure on top of gum...
