I have metal on the top and bottom. I'm an attorney and I speak to citizens every day. The look doesn't bother me at all! I think you should get what makes you feel comfortable and what you can afford.

Quite agree... Mind you, when I get mine fitted, may look in the mirror and think 'what have I done!!!'

I don't think I have ceramics. Mine are the tooth colored plastic kind I believe. And that's just for the top. They wouldn't give me the same brackets on the bottom because I might accidentally hit my teeth on them and pop the brackets off (like having them in metal has helped that at all... )

My wife and I (42 and 45 years old respectively) both proudly sport all metal 3M smartclip brackets! I just ran into a 30-ish year old girl in another section of our office that was all metal too. I complimented her on joining the 'cool kids' club by going all metal. She said, 'heck yeah', then we shared experience stories for a few.

Good stuff.

I have traditional metal braces! Kinda wished I had gone with ceramic, but didn't want to spend any extra money than necessary!

I just got my ceramics on the fronts (top and bottom). I'm only having titaniums on the sides/molars (still awaiting those to ship in). I wish I'd gotten all titanium! These ceramics barely show up in pictures. I'm hoping getting colored bands will help with that. I'm hoping I can tolerate (chemical-wise) the colored bands. I had blue jelly colored ones for the first two weeks, and my ears hurt and throat burned, and now that I have clear bands, my ears aren't hurting and my throat is only hurting when other things hurt it (a.k.a. coworker had olives out at her desk, and I didn't find out until after my throat was flaming.) (I have major allergies)

Anyway, I wish I'd gotten all metal so I could wear clear bands and still have the braces show up in pictures without having to do uber-closeups.

Yeah, I might be weird, but I really wanted the braces look.

I guess I should just be happy that I'm tolerating these ceramics with titanium archwire and clear bands. Yay no ear pain! Hoping the titaniums don't mess with my system at all. My face was all contorted all the time when I was teenager with nickel braces.

Non-metal is trendier, but I don't have an I-phone either.

I'm in the same boat as you. No iPhone and no ceramic braces!

Iphone-less here too......apple-less in general in this house.

I do have an android phone but it's far from trendy at 3 years old and barely working (was a cheap one to begin with).

Well, I did just recently treat myself and finally upgraded to a smartphone. I bought a SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM Galaxy 3. First purchased an iPhone but could not get the hang of working the keyboard. It was WAY too small. So I took it back and exchanged it for my SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM. Am just loving it. I'm still trudging up the learning curve, though. Haven't figure out how to get it to nearly half of what it's supposedly able to do. But I'll get it figured out in time.

Lmao Dee, this forum really likes to spam your posts huh? :P

I think you chose a great phone :) I've been tossing up whether to get that one or the Nexus but I'm so indecisive about everything they'll both be out of date by the time I make up my mind!

Well, I really love my new phone. I had done some research on them for an article I was writing so I knew a little bit about them. I just know that they are capable of doing WAY more than mine does right now. But I'll get the hang of it.
I can't even figure out what the page marked as spam. How irritating! I really don't like that!

I have the iPhone 5, but did have an SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM smart phone. I liked the SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM but felt like a change and didn’t really like the SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM, i thought the screen was to big. I do like my iPhone as much as I do like androids, but now I have gone to iPhone, no way I can go back to android lol. I use my music on the iPhone so much more as well! I never listened to it on the SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM.
