Elastics for Erupting Back/sides

#1 Post by alexander »

I've currently got two elastics either side in a kind of overlapping v^ formation to try to erupt the molars and side teeth to eliminate the deep bite. Does anyone have any idea of what sort of time-scales I'm looking at to bring the rear teeth together? We are talking about max 2mm on one side and about 3-4mm on the other I guess?

I have been told to keep them on as much as possible but as eating is impossible without removing them I guess they're on about 20 hrs a day.

I realise it's probably different for everyone but it would be nice to get a comparative idea of what other people have experienced.

thanks

Alex
