A few days for some teeth, several weeks for others. I had quite a lot of movement between getting my braces and my first adjustment but I had a huge amount of movement between my 1st and 2nd adjustment. So much in fact that my ortho went and checked her notes. She'd thought that she'd got the dates confused and it was my 3rd or 4th adjustment not second.
I've had similar pattern with my lower teeth and yes, it is very exciting!
Almost immediately. At almost 9 weeks, I currently look like a different person. It's amazing how much the teeth affect the shape of the face. Plus I've lost a lot of weight...LOL.
I started to notice changes in the position of the bottom teeth within the first 2 months and they've improved a lot since then.
I noticed a change in my bite very early on - maybe after a week or two.
I'm still to see much change with the top teeth though - a small gap has appeared between the front two and it feels like a couple of teeth have moved down a bit, but that's it after 6 months.
Not long at all.... More so now at around the 6 wk mark...And it fascinates me how fast they're moving.. Watching the differences in the weekly-ish photos
BUT. Everyone is different! Don't be disheartened is yours don't move really fast..
38yr old Mum to 3 (2 teens and a preppie) living in paradise with her man. BSSO surgery approx late April 2014!
About a month for me, I'm on 2 months now and the change is amazing!
Keep looking at old photos and its weird how much they have moved :) great feeling
You know, I didn't notice anything immediate. It was after a few months when I started comparing photos side by side that I was really struck with the changes.
Female, Age 37
Braced: 6/13/12
GAC In-Ovation C Top, Metal Bottom
Initial Estimated sentence: 12-14 months
SENTENCE EXTENDED: 18 months
I noticed very small changes in the first 3 weeks but the big changes came the 2 weeks before my second adjustment (7 weeks) and are still ongoing... they are moving REALLY fast now.
A tooth predicted taking about 4 or 5 months to come into line with my arch is now almost there (in under 3 months)!
I noticed a difference with my two front teeth within days, I was very surprised!
4 weeks on and I can see a change on top but not so much on the bottom.
It's quite rewarding seeing results so soon :)
I've had braces for almost a week and didn't really see a change. however when i flossed today, in an area where floss was hard to get into (overcrowded), i noticed that the floss easily positioned in between the teeth and there was space there which wasn't before. I can't see it, but there is movement for sure
