I like myself--I really do!! And now for the "rest of the story"--I'm 57 ---and thirty years ago I tried to kill myself. Twice. Soooo, I never thought I would ever be able to say that I like myself and I like my life, but I do and I'm happy.

What I like about myself:
-My newly debanded teeth!
-That I make people at work laugh just by being airheaded me. I make myself laugh by being airheaded me. It's always a surprise, especially to me! A coworker told me that I was "as lost as an Easter egg"! And it was said with affection, and I just cracked up!....(no pun intended

). I just got back to work from a trip--did my first airheaded thing, and they all chimed in "She's baacckk"!
-I work hard, and I'm responsible.
-I am a good wife to my husband.
-I am "down to earth" , very real and honest.
-I feel that I am kind--it's like I can really feel other people's pain, and I truly care. My heart hurts when people are mean.
-That nature amazes me, fills me up with contentment.
-That I'm a child at heart, that the world hasn't made me hard.
-That it doesn't take much to make me happy!

I could go on and on--wow--watch out hubby, I think I'm in love with myself!!

(Amy--if you did make a list of 100 things you like about yourself, I would enjoy reading it!)

Very nice to read something like this. Not everyone can make a list such as this. I'm glad to know you like yourself so much. It's so very important.

I like that I'm usually very positive and optimistic. I'm that person who chats with people in the supermarket or at the doctor's office. I also have a sense of humor that rears it's kooky head whenever possible. Oh, I am also a good mom, wife and friend. I hope it's because I'm positive, optimistic, friendly, fun and funny.

How nice to read this thread. Having been braces just a few short weeks I'm into the stark reality of 'something on me that I can't hide' if you know what I mean. So a few days in the dumps are over after this thread reminded me to look at the positives...
I'm good with children
I'm a solid and loyal friend
I have a quirky sense of humour
I am empathetic to others and compassionate
I get more out of doing things for others than for myself

Thanks for bringing some sense of reality into today for me!!
