My guess is French fries, since the poster is Aussie. I ate some "steak" fries over the weekend.. since they were bigger they were softer and not as crunchy.

I for some reason am loving baked potatos... (the kind with the thin skin that's easy to chew) and veggie Boca burgers on a bun but eaten with a fork and knife :BigTeethGrin:

Hi Alisonpv,

Yeah same thing as fries for you.. Not very healthy I know :( Still its all I could really tolerate in the first few days.

As its winter here now I am eating more stews and soups :)

I'm a month now in braces and eating has gotten much better. First couple of weeks it was too much work as I have a bite turbo/plate? behind my front tooth. I eat a lot of pasta, baked potatoes, soup and fish. Not a big steak eater so I don't miss that but I'll miss eating a good burger without having to pratically dice it into a million pieces first.

I eat just about any kind of food except sticky stuff like caramel and taffy. Carry my teeth cleaning kit to freshen up after eating.

I've no problems now. I can eat virtually anything except sticky and crunchy things.

Have you tried tofu? There are lots of recipes with tofu that are soft and easy to eat.
