I want my teeth straight and I don't think the shape will affect the treatment. I guess I will cross that bridge when I get to it but I am feeling strongly against the filing stuff right now.
Any particular reason why? Do you think it may be damaging?
I don't know why. I don't the like the square look some have after the filing . I have been checking co-worker's teeth (they think I am nuts btw). I wouldn't mind some gentle filing but definitely not going for the square look. My appointment is in 3 days so I will see what she has to say.

Edited to add: I also see it as damaging to the teeth. I might be completely wrong of course but still...
Maybe you can request that they file it sort of rounded at the edges so it won't be completely flat.

Sort of like in a manicure you have a choice to have your nails square or round or a little of both...

Hi actually yeah, I recently had some shaving and reduction done on 3-3 upper/lower...my deep bite wore my incisal edges down roughly and un-evenly. MY canines were very sharp and vampire looking and they were shaved down as well.

The shaving sure changed the appearance of my teeth for the better, however they do feel a bit more sensitive. Just got to make sure that whoever does it doesn't take to much off, you don't want the dentyne below exposed. (take a look at the before photo's on my first page compared to the after photo's on my 2nd page,{link in signature})
