Have the Flu, with braces (vent)

#1 Post by nahky »

had to vent. I have the flu. Im sore all over. Includng my mouth. My tongue is so tired. the metal in my mouth is hurting my tongue. Especially the back molars are suddenly hitting my tongue everytime i swallow.

being sick and having braces isnt a good mix at all. I only feel half decent when my mouth is clean after a brush. Everything feels so raw. :(

Thanks for the support guys :D Im all better now. Still have a slight sniffle but thats nothing compared to last week. You know that dried-lip(or around the lips) feeling you get from blowing your nose too often [was blowing my nose like crazy, used 2 tissue boxes], that your skin starts to crack, thats what I had, and the braces were annoying because it kept on aggrevating it

My tongue has recovered and is no longer sore, tired and all cut up from the brackets. Everything seems A.O.K. :)

Im no longer sore :) My mum performed this vietnamese accupunture thing on me. She used a coin rubbed it across my sore parts with some oils to re-balance my body. It felt great afterwrads. I went to the pool yesterday to go to the steamroom, sauna and spa and swim, felt great to move abouts again.

Also had a haircut yesterday so im feeling extra good. Im feeling more confident in my own skin. Its only been 6-month-ish in these braces and its all paying off, they look great (my teeth). Now just for the jaw surgery to top it all off :o. I suggest getting a haircut or getting your hair done up to make you feel good if you feel a little down about the whole bracial situation.

I've got a secret for you. Eat yogurt. I used to have allergic asthma and seasonal allergies from may to august perenially. Then I went to an allergist and she told me to eat yogurt cause the active cultures are good for your immune system. So I ate one lowfat yogurt every dayfor an entire year and have not gotten sick or allergic to anything. it works! get well soon.
