Pain is back

#1 Post by Gypsyphd »

Hi all, I am three weeks into my braces. The first five days were rough in terms of pain. Then it subsided and I felt great overall. Now it seems to be creeping back and my molars and uppers are so sore again. I figure it's just my teeth moving and positioning and that it's a good thing. Is the coming and going of soreness pretty normal early on in the process? Thanks!

Ooh, yowser! We're both at 3 weeks, but I don't have that sort of pain. The pain I'm dealing with is caused by my elastics grabbing and pinching at the insides of my cheeks. I've even using tons of wax to help combat that.

Early on, in the middle and at the end. I had pain off and on the entire time. Nothing too serious though.

You will likely have soreness that comes and goes throughout your whole treatment. I did find it to be the most in the earlier months though :)
