Cadet, your teeth are beautiful! So so jealous! Congrats on the naked teeth! Is it your ortho's plan to allow your wisdom teeth to come in? Do they have room???

Hey! Thank you so much.Bikerchick85 wrote:Cadet, your teeth are beautiful! So so jealous! Congrats on the naked teeth! Is it your ortho's plan to allow your wisdom teeth to come in? Do they have room???
No he actually advices that I remove it because it will eventually start hurting when it gets infected.
He says it may(may not also)take some time for that to happen but suggests I remove it as soon as I can.
Problem is my insurance doesn't cover for this and I need to save up some money.
He just re assured me that my teeth won't crowd up because of the wisdom coming in since I have my permenant retainers and will wear the invisible ones at night.
He reassured me that this will keep my teeth in place.
Is there a chance it won't?
Now I'm worried lol..
Thanks for the compliments

You're welcome for the compliment! Its the truth! And I am still so jealous! Lol!
You should be fine with the permanent and removable retainers.. those wisdom teeth just make me nervous. I had mine out at 19, and I'm 27 now, so I don't have to worry about them now. That being said, I also know how expensive it is to get them removed.
I didn't mean to make you worry! I would just keep a close eye on them. And its great you have the permanent retainers too! How are you finding those to be in regards to comfort? Are they annoying? Do you have to wear your removable retainers full time for a certain amount of time?

Actually I literally got used to them on the first day.Bikerchick85 wrote:You're welcome for the compliment! Its the truth! And I am still so jealous! Lol!

No pain whatsoever, no pressure at all, very convenient it made me paranoid it wouldn't hold my teeth together, but my ortho reassured me that it would.
I wear my removable retainers at night time. Ideally 8 hours a day my ortho told me, for as long as I can basically. He advices I keep doing it.
It keeps me sane since it was built right after my braces was removed, I assume that if my teeth moved at all they wouldn't fit or would hurt. Sort of reassures me.
I'm getting very paranoid that I'm thinking to see another ortho to ask if he thinks my wisdom teeth can be trouble.. That's just me being myself. I saved up for too long for them, it would just suck lol.
Btw I have friends who only had the permanent retainers in the back (no remove able retainers) and they still have very straight teeth.
