My braces are history! Whooppee!

#1 Post by mary oregon »

After almost three years of treatment, I got my braces off last thursday. And the best part was that I wasn't really expecting them to take them off that day! It was the best possible suprise and my smile looks great and my bite feels just awesome. My ortho gave me a bottle of champagne, two tickets to the movies and gift certificate for buttered popcorn. I thought the perfect smile was a gift enough, but the date night was a very thoughtful gesture. I got a permanent lower retainer and a clear upper retainer that is temporary. They're making me an upper hawley retainer that will be ready this week.

just thought I'd share my exciting news! Three long years....... and, yes, it was worth the wait.

Hey Mary, that is great news! Especially since you thought you were done and then had to get re-braced for a period of time. Yea! :-V
I'm the owner/admin of this site. Had ceramic uppers, metal lowers ~3 years in my early 40's. Now in Hawley retainers at night!

Cheers Mary!!!!!! It's always wonderful to know about people finishing their treatments and most importantly being satisfied with their treatments achieving envious smile to show to others :) :rawk:

Can you post your pre- and post-treatment pics? curious to see them.
