broken bracket

#1 Post by agrace90 »

I broke off a bracket around Christmas, not sure which day but noticed it the 26th and called me ortho that night and left a message. It's the second to last molar and has a tube on the bracket so I can't just remove it. It's luckily not bothering me much but I want to get in to have it fixed as I'm worried about relapse. They said if it's a bleeding/swollen/pain emergency to call the ortho on call but if not to refer to the website for fix it solutions. Until an appointment can be made. They aren't back in office until Thursday the 2nd. Is it okay to wait? It's late Monday night so I guess waiting two/three more days won't hurt right? This is my first broken bracket. :( I think it popped off from eating a red hot candy on a sugar cookie....but don't tell my ortho that! ;)

I wouldn't worry. If there is any shifting of your teeth they can easily fix it when you schedule your next appointment. Just be cautious of those hard candies next time ;)
