Welcome and good luck!

Try Mashed potatoes, eggs, yoghurt. My first successful meal was oysters.

Thanks - I seem to have adjusted well -although I have lost about 7lbs over the month. Hash brown's are nice and easy to squish with a fork and eat - the food processor has become my new friend :)

I'm 42 as well and have braces. The top ones were bonded in March 2014 and the lowers were bonded in December 2014. I was fortunate enough to start wearing a bite plate for the top (HA!) in December as well. I lost close to 10 lbs. in a short amount of time. You'll slowly regain the ability to eat better. I'm not quite eating everything I want because of the plate, but I manage. Eggs, mashed potatoes, yogurt, ect. all work. I'm not sure how long I'll have to wear my plate, I have a deep lower ridge and an occulusion issue. Hope it gets better for you.
