Hello everyone!

I finally got braces on the 10th of January 2014, and for the past few days my mouth has been so sore i've actually been asking myself why? why? WHYYYYYY?

Ok, a little bit about my teeth. They are pretty straight except for a 3 mm front diastema, and a small overbite. I'll be 30 in a couple of years and never had my wisdom teeth grow. After the cleaning and procedure i felt my first toothache since 1996 (yes 1996!) and been feeling some pain for the past couple of days but i'm pretty sure its the sensitivity. Hoping to have a good experience here!

Welcome aboard :D

This is such a great site with tons of useful info and encouragement especially in those times when we all struggle with the issues that come with braces as an adult.

Congratulations on making the decision to go for it - you won't regret it! What type of braces did you get/how long are you "in for" ??? (I had "dinosaur metal band braces" 35 years ago in the UK, thank goodness technology has come a loooooooong way since then. Back in braces, clarity SL upper and lower ceramic @ 50 for 18+ months including lower jaw surgery)

Ps Lucky you, no wisdom teeth to "muck up" the great smile!

Welcome ScouseMan and congratulations on starting this journey to a great smile. I felt exactly the same way as you when I first got my braces, I was in so much pain, I couldn't take properly and I had so many mouth sores but believe me when I say it trul does get better, just hang in there.
