In theory, I don't see why it couldn't be done. But Invisilign has fairly broad limitations on the cases it can treat... were you offered it as a plan to begin with? If so, you maybe could switch, but it'll cost you quite a bit.

What's wrong with your traditional braces?

I don't recommend it. I did it and Invisalign was a waste of time. I will need to re-do the treatment and will go with Damon all the way. Works well and it doesn't look that bad anyway.

Damon can be a waste of time and Invisalign can be a waste of time. It really depends on the skill of the person using it. Right now, there are more doctors out there that know how to use Damon properly than Invisalign. Unfortunately, the skill level of orthodontists with Invisalign is, as a whole, much lower than with braces.

We treat many patients a year with Invisalign and often times, we will purposely start them in some sectional braces to help some movements. If you find an experienced doctor with Invisalign, you should be able to expect excellent results as you would with braces. However, keep in mind that you will likely get used to your braces over time, and find them less of a bother. Good luck!

Thank you all for your replies. I just am having a hard time getting used to them. I feel like they are all jacked up...clear on top and the brackets are uneven on the teeth...metal on bottom with some coils...they just look a mess. I believe I will get used to them over time.

You'll get used to them, though you may never really like them. That's how I feel about mine. Seems like forever until they come off (Nov 2014). How long have you had them?

They'll look less "jacked up" quicker than you think. It does take some time, but we're all getting through it together :)
