before braces I forced my lips closed which always ended up in a mean look now when my lips are actually relaxed they hang open in a little in a sexy pout.

So I just had both my upper and lower on. Added molar buildups and now my mouth cant close naturally. Theres a big gap in the middle and if I close my mouth, my chin has weird dots and mouth gives a sulky face. I so hate my mouth right now because of molar buildup....

I also had molar buildups and they were very annoying! Hopefully you don't need them for long... And hopefully you can close your lips again afterwards

Mine aren't closing and it's driving me crazy! I have an open bite so I always had to force them closed some, but now it's a real pain to get them closed and my face looks really weird when I do. I really hate sitting around with my lips apart but I don't think there's anything to be done until my bite is closed or the braces are off.
Braced 7/30/14, upper and lower ceramics. Treatment time 20-24 months. Treating an open bite.

When I'm relaxed, my mouth hangs open. This should be corrected after surgery next year.

Mine close all the way. They didn't before, when I had my over bite. I'm 16 months into treatment and my bite is pretty straight, now.

My lips touched fine before braces. When I first got my braces, my top lip didn't meet the bottom and my cute little ceramic brackets were always sticking out. It took a few weeks for me to train my top lip to cover the brackets. When completely relaxed, my lips don't touch- I think this is why I wake up every morning with a drool-soaked pillow :P
Braces installed on March 25, 2014: Damon clears on top and metal on bottom.
I had braces for 25 months!

Mine did not before braces (overjet), and now my braces keep them from touching when relaxed. I'm looking forward to seeing how easy it will be after braces come off!
