So 8 more spacers today makes 25 so far. The new 8 stay in for two weeks, then come out for two weeks, then are replaced with another 8 for two weeks, and so on. I'm not sure how long the cycle goes on for. So next month my spacer count will reach 33, then 41, etc. I only have 30 teeth in total! I really hope I get to stop before my count reaches triple figures

That's good Orwellian; I assume if your ortho wanted you in for a spacer-placing appointment they'd have let you know when you made your 'installation' appointment. There's a schedule that they normally follow for appointments - consult, records, impressions, spacers, banding, etc - however your ortho does it. If they haven't mentioned spacers when they gave you your date for bracketing, take it and run! Good luck for the big day :-)

My ortho lives a 15 hour drive away and comes for 4 days a month to my city. His four days for March are the 3,4,5,6 so if I get them I will get them the day before my bonding, would they still do anything if they get placed the day before?

None! My ortho also doesn't use them. He said if I had an issue with snapping wires then he would but until then, no spacers. It's been just over a month and no snapped wires yet...

8 more spacers went in this month, so officially I'm up to 33. I wonder what the Guinness Book of Records has to say on ortho spacers??

Did your ortho tell you why they're doing this for treatment? Just wondering.
Round 3 (lifetime) Damon stainless applied 3/16/20 (after 4 weeks attempting invisalign) On for about 18 months
Night time elastics with invisalign retainers; still...
Double jaw surgery was 6/18/15...
Orthodontics never really ends...
I'm emphatically against extraction orthodontics!

None! My ortho doesn't use them. I'm happy...one less painful part of the experience.

None (one benefit of Incognito braces, I guess), but my daughter's had 4-6. She has swallowed at least three of them.
