Impacted Canine - Help Please!

#1 Post by Ataerys14 »

So I 've been braced for 4 days now and due to a monumental balls up my impacted canine was only
Just "noticed" and /or communicated to me at the appointment to apply my braces
I am devastated I know in the grand scheme of things there are options and it's not the end of the World but I just felt that getting braces was massive hurdle for (nervous patient, gum disease) me and I was actually getting used to them. Now I'm being told surgery referral in the UK on the NHS could be as long as two months + and that my top 4 May as well come off
I feel defeated please does anyone have any experiences of this and similarly did anyone opt to extract the canine?
Many thanks :Questions: :-+

No advice on the impacted canine, but look on the positive side. It can be mended and even if you have the brace off now, when its time to go again, you know exactly what to expect and you'll not be scared second time around.

Thanks Millersgirl - I did post in there when I originally found out and you were good enough to welcome the newbie :D
Just posted here in a panic after call from my ortho earlier
Will check out said pages in more detail (sorry didn't realise you had responded to my second post either)
