How much for teeth cleaning?

#1 Post by S_Ranger »

Just need a quick answer for a quick question. My orthos' office is closed and I'm scheduled for a cleaning Monday. Just wondering what the average price for it is. Gotta budget the little money I have left ya know?

$125 at the dentist I go to in BC, Canada. That includes polishing, plaque removal, and topical flouride.

I was just at the Dentist for a cleaning on Wednesday. I am going every 4 months while in braces. It included the teeth cleaning (sandblasting type), flouride treatment and x-rays (dentist wanted to make sure the roots were doing well). Total - $145 Canadian (I am just outside Toronto). I'm not sure if the dentists rates went up this year or it is the fact that I am now in braces, but I find the price for cleaning while being braced about $40.00 more than without braces. The good thing for me though - the dental plan is paying for the cleanings.

Seems, lik e I have a very cheap price - Last time I paid 45 Euro!
But to be honest, I wasn't 100% satisfied with the work that was done.

Hi. I go every 6 months. My dentist and hygenist were pleased with my teeth last time (and I had had the braces on for 5 months), so there is no need for me to change at this point.
