Never cared about what I ate from day 1.
Always fiddling with my braces, broke a hook because of that once and didn't go back for an emergency appointment.
Not flossing everyday, it's just too troublesome!
Always playing with my elastics, putting them in positions they should not be in...
Upper braces off after 636 days!

Any more sins? This is an enjoyable thread, though I'm shocked and appalled at ALL of you! ;)

On several occasions I opened all (8) of my Damon brackets and took the wire out to have a look at it.
Sectional brace with Damon clear brackets fitted to front 6 upper teeth 3 January 2012
Brackets added to premolars 2 April 2012
Estimated treatment time originally 6-9 months
. Brace removed on 22 July 2013 after 18 months and 19 days
Now enjoying bonded upper retainer plus part time essix/hawley( I have both)

I have often thought about doing that, but was afraid it might turn out like some of my home repairs which ends up with me going to a hardware store seeking guidance on how to undo my "repair." You are my hero.

They especially get worried when I ask them to open up wider and I stick a mirror in thier mouth.

My goodness, what a rowdy lot we are!

I thought I was bad for eating candy um whenever.

Cheetos, ah bring me Cheetos, the crunchy thick ones not those bad puff ball things.

Beef jerky! Wahoo!

Well, popcorn of course. I still can't figure out why it is banned. Yum. Oh yah, the kind with sugar on it.

What a great thread. Good thing I didn't read it when I was a beginner and new to braces....

My braces are off now and I never got the courage to open all the Damons and take the wire out. I just KNEW I'd have to go talk to the man and get my mellow harshed....

Sirwired has explained that the issue with popcorn is the hull, which could get lodged in the gumline and cause issues there.

 I think my one and only orthodontic sin are chewy candy and crunchy snacks pretty much on daily basis.
