Where the power chain is and where the gum kind of "v"s in is where the bicuspid was removed (right side) it's closing pretty quickly as it has only been two months! Still in worm elastics. Had a powerchain last month to close gaps on upper teeth. Still have the power chain on the lower right 3 teeth to close the gap. No pain surprisingly.
Last month:
One of the first months of having braces again last year! (October perhaps?):
Great improvement I would say just hoping to get the teeth under soon before the wedding in three months! It may just be possible!!
I always take note too that I don't have a protruding lower chin bone like most underbite patients. I feel very blessed!! I think the lower teeth in the previous photo was protrusion from the permanent retainer I had put in. I pray this tooth that was pulled with center my lower midline (it's off quite a bit) and finally round up these darn teeth!
Second round of braces. 2007-2009 and again in August 2013.
I have since had my surgery since I last commented on this thread. These are my results so far, and they're dramatic. Please excuse the yellow teeth: can't wait to get these babies whitened when these damn braces are removed!

Not yet... I was told it is usually 12-14 months after being braced, so I am planning on spring/early summer next year. In the meantime the ortho will be closing up my wide spacing and straightening my teeth into a nice big underbite (currently have edge-to-edge) I'm sure that will be fun to live with! lol!

I just now saw your signature where it says you got braces 11 days ago (duh on my part, but I'm using my iPhone so not so easy to see sometimes). Yes, I had my surgery 14 months after braces so that's accurate. Your teeth will be worse before they get better but it will be worth it: I keep telling myself that now lol.

In a few days I will have had my braces on for 8 months!
Picture above was when I had my braces put on (top) and of present time, today (bottom).
I haven't worn my elastics in a week because of another bad canker sore directly in line with where the elastics stretching, but today I put them back in and was surprised instantly that my fronts teeth were touching! That's never happened! I noticed in a week how much my gap has closed since my bicuspid was removed.... You can see still how gap-toothed I am...
The inside of my moth though is a war zone! There is now a gap in between my front lower teeth as well (teeth are slowly shifting to the right, via powerchain on the right lower teeth), and since my teeth are adjusting and not gapped with the under bite, I keep biting the inside of my lower front lip. And it gets caught in between the gap. Ouch! I'm hoping it doesn't turn into another canker sore. I also burned the tip of my tongue on some braces peroxide rinse which is potent! Another canker. =\
That's all for now! Next adjustment is May 13. Hopefully the midline can start shifting over and I can get these wacky gaps closed!
Second round of braces. 2007-2009 and again in August 2013.
Here's a frontal of today's adjustment... Top is of today, bottom is from a few months ago. I have a powerchain half way across the bottom to close up the gaps from my tooth removal. Pretty painful. But seeing results! So weird to feed front teeth touching... Almost there!! Dr. told me to not wear elastics this month. Two more months until the wedding! I'm hoping for a little bit more progress by then. Many pictures and people will see me! I hope they can see a difference in my facial profile, because I sure can!

Another update! Things are looking better! Our wedding is a month away! Our wedding shower is tomorrow and I'm feeling more confident about my smile and being around. A lot of people.
I knew my braces wouldn't be off before the wedding, and we thought maybes fiancé would have his off, but he will be in his for a few more months! His teeth are looking great though!
Still wearing elastics all day everyday! My underbite is gone! Now just to get teeth closed up together and them all aligned. Yay!!!!
