ah dj, I hope by now you are experiencing the second phase of parenthood...grandparenthood, whereby, you can enjoy those unruly children (in fact, you don't even consider them unruly) and then give em back to their parents! :-)

My son and his wife are expecting their first child in December, my first grandchild so yes, i am very excited! My son says he thinks they will be having a son, to which I smiled and replied, "Oh I really hope so. This is going to be fun."

I totally feel the same way that you do!!

I have an awesome ortho and team, I actually get excited for my future visits! Since I had a lot of space to close on the top, seeing the quick improvement makes me feel really great about myself. (My two front teeth have NEVER touched in my entire 25 years of life and 3 months into treatment and they're completely together!!)

I haven't really experienced a lot of pain, and I pay more attention to my oral health as well.

I am a retail manager so I do a lot of face to face customer service and I have noticed my braces have been a conversation starter for my customers. Its fun! I have a customer that has braced as well and we swap tips and progress all the time. Braces have been fun so far!! :)

I'm enjoying the braces experience too. Some 30 years ago I had braces but the gaps from my pre molar extraction have never closed. I have always found this very annoying but never took the step to have braces again. I always thought I was too old for this and that Iwasn't possible anaymore.

Now I have braces since January and I'm very happy. I enjoy it because of the improvement and transformation of my teeth. But sometimes it drives me mad because I want to look in the mirror about 20 times a day to see if there are improvements yet.

The experience has been great (as far as progress). Next week 1/2 I will be getting my first adjustments. The unexpected thing was that I didn't have to use wax (basically never used). It's been about two months and I'm having no problems at all. Brushing is a bit tedious, but I got used to it right away (using Oral-B Precision electric tooth brush).

Good luck. We all will be really confident as the braces comes off~!
